MWF: History's Script

Sometimes historical fiction is contemporary drama dressed in old fashioned clothes but sometimes it's more than that. Sometimes it's more genuinely engaging with ideas and hopes and anxieties of the past. So what truth claims can historical fiction make, who reads and why is it so popular? From the 2013 Melbourne Writers Festival, Michael Cathcart is joined by two giants of the genre, British author Sarah Dunant and Australian writer Jane Sullivan.
